An introduction to the new edition of Colinvaux's Law of Insurance

We were delighted to support the Hong Kong Insurance Law Association, the Australian Insurance Law Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (East Asia Branch) in hosting a virtual talk by Professor Robert Merkin KC.

Professor Robert Merkin KC is a Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Reading in England, He has held honorary and visiting professorships at numerous universities, Including City University Athens, The University of Hong Kong, National University of Singapore, China University of Politics and Law, University of Sydney, University of Queensland and University of Auckland. He is also the accomplished author of Colinvaux's Law of Insurance, a practitioner’s text which has long been regarded as the definitive authority on insurance law.

In this talk, Professor Merkin introduced the new 14th edition of Colinvaux, which contains new chapters on the law governing insurance intermediaries and on business interruption. The 14th edition also contains analysis of several landmark cases shaping the future of insurance law.
